The summit is organized by Black Brown Dialogues on Policy (BBDP) and a coalition of more than 20 organizations including LULAC, NAACP, Texas AAUP, Texas AFT, Texas Freedom Network, NAACS Tejas Foco, and Students Engaged in Advancing Texas.
Summit highlights include:
· Keynote addresses by Chair Gene Wu, Rep. Aicha Davis, and additional speakers
· Workshops on legislative advocacy, faculty rights, and student engagement
Networking opportunities for educators, students, policymakers, and advocates

Citizen Lobby Day with Texas Cannabis Collective
7am - 3pm CDT
Bringing together advocates from the medical, hemp, and criminal justice and consumer spaces, lobby day is your chance to make your voice heard at the legislative session.
Registration will be from 7am-8:30am in the Legislative Conference Center (LCC). You will be given a packet of information & resources and be divided into groups based on your area.
8:30am-9:45am: Guest speakers, review packet info, and the day’s goals.
9:45am: Attendee groups begin meeting with legislative offices. (Please reach out to reps in advance schedule meetings)
