Women’s March Austin rally being held at historic Huston-Tillotson University

The Women’s March ATX rally will be held at historic Huston-Tillotson University in the heart of East Austin on Saturday, January 18, beginning at 10 am.

“The Women’s March ATX team is excited to finally announce the location of our rally! In an effort to bring the march closer to community and including the voices that are not typically a part of the halls of power, we will be holding our rally at the historic Huston-Tillotson University!” the group announced.

Established in 1875, this Historically Black university is the oldest institution of higher learning in Austin and is in the heart of East Austin.

Women’s March ATX said it is currently finalizing permits with the City of Austin for our parade route.

“Please be advised that there is limited parking on site, so it is highly recommended to carpool, ride share, or take CapMetro,” Women’s March advised.

Day passes for CapMetro busses are $2.50 and include unlimited rides for 24 hours.
